Most of us spend our days doing the same thing over and over again. Wake up at the same time, follow the same routine, do the same kind of work, day in and day out.
We tend to get bored and frustrated by living a life where each day appears to be the same. We expect life to be exciting and filled with varied fun. However, monotony is a part of life.
Much of our lives are uninteresting stretches. But when we have a clear goal, and a purpose, we learn to appreciate the daily monotonous activity.
Repetitive activities can help us build good habits and skills.
It's all about perspective. Instead of dreading the future, thinking "is this all there is?", be mindful, make the most of what you have, and enjoy the present.
