Unfortunately, sometimes our family members and friends may not fully understand the extent of our mental health struggles and as a result, cannot provide us with the support we expect from them.

 

It's not that they don't care about you, it just doesn't make sense to them yet. People tend to assume there couldn't be anything wrong if you're doing fairly well in your life.

 

Remember you are deserving of healing. Seek out people who can understand and support you.

 

There are many support groups, in-person and online, where you can meet like-minded people who can help you. Keep pushing through. Do what is right for you.
