We talk to ourselves more than anyone else. So make sure you use kind words as often as possible. Our lives are a consequence of how we translate the meaning of each experience, how we respond to life’s events and what we tell ourselves. Notice when you are being hard on yourself and take a deep breath. Allow the thought to pass. You don't have to engage with every self-defeating thought that pops up. Nothing on the outside will bring you joy until you learn to be kind to yourself and tell yourself you deserve to be happy.
