Sometimes we don't even allow ourselves to experience negative emotions fully because we're too busy rationalizing them.
We tell ourselves "I shouldn't feel this way", or "I've got to get over it quickly".
But unless we let ourselves face these feelings, we won't be able to build our emotional resilience or learn to use the right tools to cope with our emotions.
It's important to be honest with yourself about how you feel. Being mindful allows you to work through your emotions without directly acting on them.
