Every day offers new opportunities to bring joy to others and make the world a little brighter.
Often, it’s the simple choices we make, to be kind and to show empathy, that remind people of the goodness that still exists in the world.

Let’s take a look at this week’s uplifting stories that show just how many ways there are to be a source of light for others.
Millie Benjamin is known in her family as the “compliment girl.” She fills their days with joy by offering thoughtful, heartfelt compliments.
And now, she’s decided to spread that kindness to her community as well.
She set up a free compliment stand in her front yard, offering kind words to anyone who happens to pass by. It costs nothing and takes only a moment, but the impact of those simple words can make a profound difference in someone’s life!
“I drove by, and I started crying because the world needs more joy,” said Sawyer Radermacher, a recipient.
Rescuer Nektarios found Marianthi in a heartbreaking state. The aging horse had been left alone in a field and was too weak to stand.
He and his team brought her to Athens Happy House in Greece, where she began receiving the care she desperately needed.
They even built a special stable that allowed her to rest while standing, reducing the strain on her fragile legs.
Thanks to the dedicated attention and care at the sanctuary, Marianthi gets to live her golden years healthy and happy.
“You know, it’s like winning the lottery. I think her life is quite good. She goes for little walks in the prairie. She has a turkey and a cat for friends,” said Nektarios.
At the Quast family’s driveway, everyone is welcome to take fresh produce, completely free of charge.
The Lakeville family stocks their “Free Veggie Library” with items from their own garden to support neighbors in need.
Inspired by their generosity, other community members have begun donating as well, helping the pantry continue to support families facing food insecurity.
"She[visitor] said she got to her car and she was crying because she felt that there was good in the world, and she was really struggling. That was the reason we do what we do, because we don't know their struggle, but we can empathize with it, and John and I have both been there," said Kate-Madonna (Hindes) Quast.
After retiring from police work, Wade Milyard wanted to continue helping people. Using his own funds along with donations, he launched Fresh Step Laundry, a free mobile laundry service for people experiencing homelessness.
He drives around in his van, washing and drying clothes for those who need it most.
Each week, Wade completes dozens of loads, offering clean clothes and a fresh start to people in need.
"If having clean clothes can help them just a little bit, then my mission is fulfilled," said Wade.
