What is an Affirmation?
An Affirmation is a positive, present tense statement (think "I AM successful" versus "I will be successful") that you repeat to yourself to help build or reinforce that belief.
The magic of positive affirmations is that your brain can't really tell the difference between what you think is real, and what IS real. Using daily affirmations can rewire your brain in a way that leads to less stress and a more positive mindset.
To effectively perform your daily affirmations, you can repeat them either out loud or in your head, whichever is more comfortable, or appropriate. Repeat them throughout your day, especially when you're feeling down or stressed. The important part is to not just say them, but to BELIEVE them, say them with thought, feeling, and intention, and over time your brain will begin to rewire itself to present a more positive you.
