We have a general sense of the good habits and ideas that can improve our lives.

 

Yet it is so difficult to actually make those habits stick. We know what we have to do but we just don't keep up with it.

 

Procrastinating and making excuses make you feel good for a short while, but in the long term, they keep you from being happy with your life.

 

Start with the smallest possible action you can take right now. You have to train yourself to enjoy and anticipate performing this action regularly.

 

Lower your expectations to give your mind some time to adjust to new habits.

 

Remind yourself of the benefits and use positive self-talk to motivate yourself.
