Don't carry the energy of the unpleasant events from the past into the present. Stop worrying about what should have been. Bad memories are part of your life, but they don't have to be the only thing defining your life. Reflect on your experiences and try to find how they have served you and helped you. Maybe a difficult situation made you catch your unhealthy expectations or change the way you approach life. Once you are aware of the meaning, let go. Don't keep suffering by recycling negative memories through your mind.
