Our humanity lies in showing up for one another.
By understanding others’ pain and letting go of judgment, we can create kinder, more resilient communities.
Every choice we make can deepen connection and nurture compassion. We can hold space for each other and lean into the oneness that unites us.
"It only takes a split second to smile and forget, yet to someone that needed it, it can last a lifetime." - Steve Maraboli
Have a look at a few stories that inspire us to recognize our strength as a community.
15-year-old Tyler Roche-Tilden, who has autism, was left feeling scared and isolated after a heartbreaking bullying incident.
When longtime bicycle rider Darnell Meyers saw the news story about Tyler, he used his social media presence to organize a bike ride in support of him.
More than 100 students showed up at Tyler’s house to support him in the fight against bullying.
What’s more, Tyler was surprised with a new custom-made bike from Merrick Bicycles.
“This is a kid who didn't have friends a few weeks ago besides two or three, and now everyone knows him and they're supporting him,” said Gina Moscato, Tyler’s mother.
Three engineers who founded Hopeite Machinery Services are making farm machinery accessible and affordable for small-scale farmers.
They import foreign-made components such as motors and engines and combine them with locally sourced materials to produce essential farming equipment.
By making these machines readily available, the company is empowering small-scale farmers who previously had to rely on grueling manual labor.
Their innovations are also creating more opportunities for youth and women in agriculture.
“Our customers are small-scale farmers who can actually afford the machines we make. After we sell to them, we do follow-ups, and we service the machines, which helps us market our business,” said Elijah Mwangi, Director of Hopeite.

It provides a welcoming environment where individuals can experience acceptance and a sense of dignity, enhancing their overall quality of life.
Inclusive workplaces like this play a vital role in breaking down perceived barriers to hiring people with cognitive disabilities!

Christophe Waggoner is on a mission to keep the magic of Halloween alive, regardless of any obstacles.
Every fall, he creates one-of-a-kind costumes for children, sourcing pieces from thrift stores and transforming them into wonderful costumes all on his own.
He wants to make sure every child can experience the pure joy of trick-or-treating, without any cost or stigma.
“The goal is to make people better than they were before the event. And if there's somebody there to help you, then you're more than likely to turn around and help somebody else,” said Christophe.
